ABOUT US

The first Circle of Ladies Circle was founded in 1936 in England in conjunction with a men’s group called Round Table. The founding circle focused on supporting war efforts through local service projects.

LC USA has a briefer history! LC USA was founded in New York City in 2016. Since then, we’re constantly growing, always accepting new members, and always curious about what other cities LC USA can reach. We still keep a close relationship with our brother organization, Round Table, and often support each other in our service projects. As a group of young women representing different backgrounds, experiences, and circumstances, we choose to come together to support each other and our community.

Originally from Long Island, I’m very lucky to call NYC my home. My passion for gender equality has always driven my choices and led to my career in gender based violence advocacy. As the President of LC USA, I feel very fortunate to help lead this group to meaningfully support our community and each other.

Majdouline Melhaoui

Treasurer

French- Moroccan living in NY since 2017. Mom of the cutest 5-year old boy. Joined LCUSA in 2018

Tienneke Petit

Immediate Past President

Tienneke joined Ladies Circle in 2016, and committed to the goals and growth of the organization, she quickly took on leadership roles in LC USA, going from Secretary to Treasurer to President.
Outside of Ladies Circle, Tienneke loves spending time with her family and friends and doesn’t shy away from throwing a party or getting busy volunteering.

Courtenay Kane

Having been born overseas in London, then moving to Hong Kong, I settled on the East Coast and finally NYC. I’ve been very fortunate to have traveled and explored different parts and cultures of the world. Joining Ladies Circle USA was a perfect way to blend my love of meeting new people and my desire to further gender equality initiatives, along with giving back and supporting our community.

We are a community of successful and committed women and started out in NYC.  If you are looking for international connections, building new friendships and being part of a community that engages in local charity projects and if you want to have an impact,  join us. We have regular social get togethers and organize support opportunities in which we get together to help a local charity organization with various projects.
